Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza Named Best National Pizza Chain Two Years Running
Two years. Two national titles. Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza & Wings has been named the Best National Pizza Chain for the second year in a row, this time by Reviewed’s Readers’ Choice Awards 2026. And unlike a lot of awards, this one comes straight from the people eating the pizza.
Reviewed, part of the USA Today network, put the question to readers across the country: who makes the best pizza chain in America? The answer came back the same as last year — Anthony’s. With roughly 50 locations across Florida, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Delaware, the chain has built a following that punches well above its size. Readers called out the coal-fired char you can only get from a 900-degree oven, fresh never-frozen wings, and Italian-American recipes built on hand-picked tomatoes, house-made dough, and freshly grated Pecorino Romano. The runner-up was Donatos Pizza, followed by Giordano’s — two much larger chains — which says everything about how Anthony’s fans show up when it counts.
This follows Anthony’s Newsweek Best Pizza Chain win in 2025 — making this back-to-back national recognition from two of the country’s most-read publications. The kind of thing that doesn’t happen by accident. It happens because guests keep coming back, keep voting, and keep telling people about it.
To thank every fan who voted, Anthony’s is rolling out a limited-time dine-in offer starting August 20: a 12″ Cheese Pizza and 6 Garlic Knots for just $9.99, available at all locations. Two years, two titles, and the same coal-fired flavor that started it all back in 2002. Come taste what the whole country keeps voting for.
