What can you actually get for $5 anymore? Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza & Wings asked that question, didn’t love the answer, and did something about it.

Starting May 27, 2026, Anthony’s launched the Coal-Fired Social, a Monday through Friday happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m. featuring $5 beers, wines, cocktails and food items for dine-in guests at all locations. South Florida Insider was one of the first to cover the full launch, and the write-up captured exactly what makes this menu different from the typical happy hour plate.

The standout is Coal Heat Cauli, coal-fired cauliflower paired with garlic Romano sauce, buffalo sauce, blue cheese and a touch of salt. Crispy, bright, slightly spicy and nothing like what you’d expect from a pizza restaurant’s social menu. Then there’s Hot & Stuffed, Italian long hot peppers with the seeds removed, filled with ricotta, handmade meatball, crumbled sausage and marinara. Enough heat to keep things interesting, balanced enough to actually taste everything else. The Spinach Dip Flatbread moves one of Anthony’s most popular flavors into a crostini-style format that’s made for sharing, and Slider Stack puts a handmade Nonna-recipe meatball inside a garlic knot with cheese. It sells itself. And on Mondays, it’s part of the all-day Meatball Monday deal for $5.

Anthony’s Vice President of Operations, Stephen Sidlo, told South Florida Insider the whole concept came from a simple challenge: create something affordable without cutting corners. The ingredients are still scratch-made. The cauliflower is still coal-fired. The meatball is still Nonna’s recipe. The $5 price point just makes it easier for guests to try something they might not usually order.

For anyone who hasn’t been in lately, the Coal-Fired Social is also a window into a broader refresh happening across Anthony’s. New uniforms, new packaging, new plateware, and larger remodels on the way. The same coal-fired craft that started in 2002, brought back to temperature.
