Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza Raises $53,000 To Benefit the Dan Marino Foundation
Fort Lauderdale, FL. – Jan. 26, 2017 – Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza announced the brand will donate $53,000 to The Dan Marino Foundation to help empower individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities through education.
Anthony’s raised the funds through its 2016 “Give the Gift of Coal” gift card donation program. The brand pledged 10 percent of all sales from the program to the Foundation, which has been a leader in innovation and change for 25 years. The $53,000 donation surpasses Anthony’s 2015 record of $50,000, bringing its four-year donation total to more than $180,000.
Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza founder and CEO Anthony Bruno said it’s an honor to support The Dan Marino Foundation and raise awareness for such a noteworthy cause.
“Dan and his wife, Claire, have created an incredible organization that makes a difference in so many people’s lives,” Bruno said. “We were thrilled to once again raise a record amount for the Foundation.”
NFL Hall of Fame legend Dan Marino is a partner in Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza, the South Florida-based concept that uses authentic coal-burning ovens to create “well done” pizza.
With a focus on fresh ingredients and authentic recipes, Anthony’s signature menu includes traditional and specialty pizzas with dough made daily and stretched to order; fresh coal-oven-roasted chicken wings; large homemade meatballs from a recipe passed down by Anthony’s grandmother; a classic Italian salad with signature dressing; and Eggplant Marino (one of Dan’s favorites).
Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza has been lauded by fans and media for its great food and service. In 2016, Anthony’s was chosen Best Pizza and Best Wings for the third consecutive year in the Sun Sentinel/SouthFlorida.com Best of South Florida readers’ poll. The brand also was twice recognized in the survey for Best Meatballs.
