FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza, the South Florida-based concept that uses authentic coal-burning ovens to create “well done” pizza, debuted its seventh Long Island location in Farmingdale, NY on Monday, September 17. The new restaurant is located at 1280 Broadhollow Road, off New York 110 just north of Southern State Parkway.

Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza, which includes founder Anthony Bruno and NFL Hall of Fame legend Dan Marino among several equity partners, currently has Long Island locations in Bohemia, Carle Place, Commack, Great Neck, Wantagh, and Woodbury.

A Long Island native, Bruno opened the first Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza in Fort Lauderdale in 2002 and has expanded to nearly 60 restaurants throughout Florida and the northeast.

“I love Long Island and am excited to open another location in a neighborhood that knows great pizza and Italian specialties,” said Bruno. “We look forward to welcoming all our Farmingdale friends to the new restaurant.”

Hours of operation for the new location are 11:30 a.m. – 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11:30 a.m. – 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. In addition to dining in, patrons can carry out by calling (631) 420-0407. A full bar will also be available.

With a focus on fresh ingredients and authentic recipes, Anthony’s signature menu includes traditional and specialty pizzas with dough made daily and stretched to order; fresh coal-oven-roasted chicken wings; large homemade meatballs from a recipe passed down by Anthony’s grandmother; a classic Italian salad with signature dressing; and Eggplant Marino (one of Dan’s favorites).

The brand has been lauded by fans and media for its great food and service. In 2015, Anthony’s was chosen Best Pizza, Best Wings and Best Meatballs for the second consecutive year in the Sun Sentinel/SouthFlorida.com Best of South Florida readers’ poll.

Anthony’s was declared “The Best Pizza Chain in America” by USA Today’s Great American Bites and has been chosen Best Pizza by the Miami Herald, Miami.com, Palm Beach Post and WFLA’s iHeart Tampa Bay. The brand was featured in the New York Times and has received rave reviews from Newsday. Anthony’s food and service continually are ranked “very good to excellent” by Zagat Survey, the distinguished dining and entertainment ratings guide, and is voted “Top Pizza” and “Most Popular” in Zagat’s America’s Top Restaurants edition.

“We visited Florida in February 2013 and upon landing in Ft. Lauderdale, we stopped for lunch at Anthony’s Runway 84. During our 9 day stay, we had Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza and [went] back to dinner at Anthony’s Runway 84 just before departing from Ft. Lauderdale Airport. You are to be complimented because growing up Italian, we never ordered meatballs outside, but we tried yours for an appetizer and have had them several times.”
