Anthony's Sponsored Youth Basketball League Team

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – May 9, 2017 – Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza Miramar is a major sponsor of this season’s Miramar Police Athletic League (PAL) Youth Basketball Senior Division, ages 12 to 14. The Anthony’s sponsorship enabled PAL to waive registration fees for 60 players and, for the second consecutive season, all teams are sporting the Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza logo on their jerseys, totaling 230 players.

“Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza Miramar has become a true community partner for our organization,” said Miramar PAL Assistant Program Director Ryan Bammel. “The restaurant’s generosity is appreciated by our staff, parents and athletes.”

Miramar resident Latosha Barnard-Clarke said she was pleased Anthony’s is a strong supporter of youth sports. She attended opening night to watch her son Lynden’s game.

“I think it’s great that they’re giving back to the community, keeping our kids engaged with their peers,” Barnard-Clarke said. “This helps them grow from kids into men, sharing the game that they love.”

Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza Miramar is located at 3111 SW 160th Avenue, off Miramar Parkway, just west of I-75 next to Home Depot. Hours of operation are 11:30 a.m. – 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11:30 a.m. – 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. In addition to dining in, patrons can carry out by calling 954-392-3811.

“We visited Florida in February 2013 and upon landing in Ft. Lauderdale, we stopped for lunch at Anthony’s Runway 84. During our 9 day stay, we had Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza and [went] back to dinner at Anthony’s Runway 84 just before departing from Ft. Lauderdale Airport. You are to be complimented because growing up Italian, we never ordered meatballs outside, but we tried yours for an appetizer and have had them several times.”
